Ourika Valley Day Trip β Hike, Berber Villages & Lunch
Includes: Private transport (approx. 3 hours), professional guide, traditional Berber lunch, and guided hike.
Depart Marrakech around 9:30 AM and drive toward the High Atlas Mountains, passing stunning landscapes and historic Berber villages dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.
Your first stop is a traditional Moroccan Berber house, where youβll see local life and cooking techniques. From the rooftop, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valley and the 17th-century village below.
Continue deeper into the valley until reaching Setti Fadma, where youβll embark on a 1-hour hike to view the famous waterfalls. After the hike, return to the van and drive halfway back to Marrakech, stopping for lunch at a Berber familyβs home with beautiful valley views. The hosts will conduct a tea ceremony, showing you how to prepare traditional mint tea. Lunch includes a variety of Moroccan Berber dishes, such as tagine, couscous, and salad.
After lunch in Taourirt, enjoy a walking tour through three Berber villages: Taourirt, Tawrirte, and Akhlij, the last Berber village in the Ourika Valley. Meet your van in Tnen Ourika, home to a large local market every Monday.
