Jbel Saghro β Rugged Beauty Between the Atlas and the Sahara
Jbel Saghro is a dramatic mountain range nestled between the High Atlas and the Sahara Desert, offering landscapes that are both rugged and mesmerizing. From jagged volcanic peaks and deep gorges to expansive plateaus and rock formations sculpted by centuries of wind and erosion, the scenery is truly unique.
The region is home to the semi-nomadic AΓ―t Atta Berbers, whose enduring traditions and warm hospitality bring a rich cultural dimension to every journey. Unlike the snow-capped High Atlas, Saghro enjoys a mild climate, making it an ideal trekking destination during winter and early spring.
Trails wind through remote villages, almond groves, and high mountain passes, revealing sweeping vistas across the Dadès and DrÒa Valleys. With its wild beauty and authentic encounters, Jbel Saghro is perfect for travelers seeking adventure far off the beaten path.
