Embark on a rewarding 3-Day Toubkal Experience, designed to take you to the summit of Jebel Toubkal (4,167 m), the highest peak in North Africa, at a relaxed pace. This itinerary combines challenging mountain trekking with immersive cultural experiences in traditional Berber villages, allowing time to acclimatize, enjoy panoramic views, and experience the stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains.
Day 01: Marrakech β Imlil β Azib Tamssoult

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Riad/Hotel in Marrakech at 9:00 am.
π Your driver will transfer you to the trek starting point (Imlil, 1,750m), about 1.5 hours south of Marrakech.
π£ Here, you will meet your English-speaking guide and muleteers. Once the mules are loaded, your trek begins with a steady climb out of the Imlil Valley, ascending to the Tizi nβMzik Pass (2,489m), which rewards you with panoramic mountain views.
π₯ Stop en route for a picnic lunch with refreshing mint tea. Afterward, descend into the beautiful Azzaden Valley, known locally as the Valley of Colors. Continue toward Azib nβTansoult, a small summer Berber goatherd village.

β° Early morning (around 6:00 am), after breakfast, you will begin a challenging but rewarding climb out of the peaceful Azzaden Valley. The day starts with a steep ascent, and very soon you will find yourself surrounded by rugged landscapes and ever-expanding views of the High Atlas.
π§ A highlight of the morning is a stop by the Irhoulidene Waterfalls, cascading down from the cliffs above, where you can rest briefly and refill your water bottles. From here, the path winds its way upwards through alpine terrain, with fewer trees and more rocky landscapes as you gain height.
β° The climb continues until you reach the Aguelzim Pass (3,560m), the highest point of todayβs trek. From the top, you are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views over the surrounding valleys and the jagged ridgelines of the Atlas Mountains. On a clear day, you may even catch your first glimpse of Mount Toubkal rising above the horizon.
π₯ Lunch will be served at Agnierighen, a stunning viewpoint with wide-open vistasβan ideal place to rest, recover, and take in the silence of the mountains.
β¬οΈ After lunch, the trail descends steadily toward the Toubkal Refuge (Neltner Hut, 3,207m). This mountain hut is the main base camp for climbers attempting Mount Toubkal. The atmosphere here is lively, with trekkers from around the world preparing for their summit push.
π Settle into the shared dormitories and enjoy a warm dinner prepared by your support team. The evening will be spent relaxing, exchanging stories with fellow adventurers, and preparing for tomorrowβs exciting summit attempt.

β° Very early morning (around 4:30β5:00 am), you will begin the ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest peak in North Africa. The climb is steady but demanding, with rocky terrain and switchbacks as you rise above the surrounding ridges.
β° After 3β4 hours of trekking, you will reach the summit of Toubkal, whereβweather permittingβyou will be rewarded with unforgettable views stretching across the Atlas Mountains, the distant Sahara Desert, and the volcanic peak of Jbel Sirwa in the Anti-Atlas range. The summit experience is a moment of achievement, offering a chance to rest, take photos, and soak in the majesty of the High Atlas.
β¬οΈ From the top, you will retrace your steps back down to the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m), where you will enjoy a short break before continuing your descent.
π On the way down toward Imlil, you will pass the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch, a sacred site visited by pilgrims. Known locally as the βKing of the Jinn,β this white-painted shrine is a fascinating glimpse into Moroccoβs spiritual traditions.
π£ The trail then winds down into the Imlil Valley, where your trek concludes.
π From Imlil, you will be transferred back to Marrakech, arriving by early eveningβtired but with a great sense of accomplishment.
