ITINERARY
Jbel Sirwa
Jbel Sirwa lies in between the High Atlas and the Anti Atlas Mountain Ranges. It is an extinct volcano surrounded by isolated villages, massive gorges and great scenery that rises up to 3304m/10,843ft. It is a mere 50km from Jbel Toubkal but the scenery is dramatically different with interesting rock formations including rocky escarpments, it is difficult trekking to ascend the summit but well worth the effort.
π Day 1: Marrakech β Tamllakout (1,800β1,900m)

Depart Marrakech in the morning and drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing winding valleys, terraced fields, and small Berber villages. On the way, stop at scenic viewpoints to photograph snow-capped peaks and river valleys. Arrive in Tamllakout, a quiet Berber village at the foothills of Jbel Sirwa. Check into a guesthouse, enjoy a warm welcome with traditional mint tea, and savor a Moroccan dinner. The night allows for acclimatization and rest before trekking begins.

Today, trek across vast volcanic landscapes with basalt ridges, lava flows, and highland plateaus. The path is remote and quiet, offering a feeling of true wilderness. Arrive at the Tissili Plateau, a remote area with dramatic rock formations and open skies. Camp overnight, enjoying a quiet, starlit night far from modern distractions.

Early morning, set off for the summit of Jbel Sirwa (3,304m). The ascent involves moderate climbing with rocky terrain, suitable for trekkers with good fitness. At the summit, enjoy 360Β° panoramic views of the High Atlas, Anti-Atlas, and even the Sahara foothills in the distance. After celebrating at the peak, descend to Azib Iriri, a nomadic pasture surrounded by volcanic peaks, and set up camp. Enjoy a campfire dinner and the peaceful night in nature.

Day 5: Azib Iriri - Takshost
After eating breakfast at Azib Iriri we’ll hike on for a few hours until it’s time for lunch at yet another beautiful location and then proceed on to the village of Takshost. In Takshost we can spend the night in a Berber guesthouse or camp. 5 hrs of hiking.
Day 6:Takshost - Tamllakout
We will leave from Takshost after eating breakfast and then hike on to the large Berber village of Tamazirt where we will have lunch by the river amid almond, walnut, and eucalyptus trees. Then we will hike to Tamllakout where we will spend the last night of our hike in the Berber guesthouse. 7 hrs of hiking
Day 7: Tamllakout - Marrakesh
Breakfast in the guesthouse in Tamllakout will be followed by taking our transportation up to the Tichka Pass where we will have lunch in the village of Tadart. We will return to Marrakesh. 7 hrs of transportation.
