  1. 01
    Day 1Marrakech – Imlil – Tizi n’Tamatert – Tacheddirt

After breakfast in Marrakech, you’ll be picked up by private transport and driven south into the foothills of the High Atlas (approx. 1h30).

Your trek begins in Imlil (1,740m), a bustling trailhead village. From here, you climb steadily up through terraced fields and juniper forests to the Tizi n’Tamatert Pass (2,279m), offering magnificent views of the Imnan and Imlil valleys.

You descend gently into the valley before arriving at Tacheddirt (2,300m), the highest permanently inhabited Berber village in the Atlas.

    - Hike: 5–6 hrs | +600m / -300m

    - Overnight: Berber guesthouse in Tacheddirt

    - Meals: Lunch & Dinner included

  2. 02
    Day 2Tacheddirt – Tizi n’Likemt – Azib Tinzar

A demanding but rewarding day. You begin with a long ascent towards the Tizi n’Likemt Pass (3,555m), one of the highest passes in the Toubkal range.

The trail zigzags up a barren, rocky slope, but the views from the top are breathtaking — jagged summits, vast valleys, and on a clear day, even glimpses towards the Anti-Atlas.

From the pass, you descend into a beautiful high valley dotted with shepherds’ huts and summer pastures, finally reaching Azib Tinzar (2,300m).

    - Hike: 6–7 hrs | +1,250m / -1,250m

    - Overnight: Tent camp or shepherd hut (rustic conditions)

    - Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  3. 03
    Day 3Azib Tinzar – Tizi n’Ouraï – Amsouzart

Today’s trail leads through wide alpine meadows before a steady climb to Tizi n’Ouraï (3,120m). This pass offers splendid panoramas across the valleys below and the snow-dusted peaks above.

The descent takes you through walnut groves, terraced fields, and traditional Berber villages until you reach Amsouzart (1,740m), a lively village with stone houses nestled against the mountainside.

Here, you’ll experience warm Berber hospitality in a family guesthouse.

    - Hike: 6–7 hrs | +820m / -1,300m

    - Overnight: Berber guesthouse in Amsouzart

    - Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  4. 04
    Day 4Amsouzart – Lake Ifni

A shorter, more relaxed stage. You hike out of Amsouzart, passing through small villages and cultivated fields, before climbing towards the spectacular Lake Ifni (2,295m).

Surrounded by rocky peaks, this turquoise glacial lake is one of the most beautiful natural sights in the Atlas.

The afternoon is free to relax by the lakeshore, swim (in summer), or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

    - Hike: 4–5 hrs | +600m

    - Overnight: Lakeside camping under the stars

    - Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  5. 05
Day 5Lake Ifni – Toubkal Refuge

A tough but unforgettable day. From Lake Ifni, you climb steeply to the Tizi n’Ouanoums Pass (3,670m) — a dramatic col squeezed between towering rock walls.

The descent brings you into the heart of the Toubkal Massif, reaching the Refuge du Toubkal (3,207m) in the afternoon. This is your base for the summit attempt.

    - Hike: 6–7 hrs | +1,400m / -500m

    - Overnight: Toubkal Refuge (shared dorms)

    - Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  6. 06
Day 6Ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167m)

The big day! An early pre-dawn start to climb North Africa’s highest peak.

The trail climbs steeply on rocky ground, gradually opening up to a wide ridge. After 3–4 hours, you’ll stand at the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m). The view is breathtaking — across the Atlas range, the Anti-Atlas, and on a clear day, even the Sahara stretching endlessly to the south.

After photos and celebration, descend carefully back to the refuge. Afternoon at leisure to rest.

    - Hike: 7–8 hrs | +960m / -960m

    - Overnight: Toubkal Refuge

    - Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  7. 07
    Day 7Refuge – Imlil – Marrakech

Your final day begins with a long descent through the valley of Sidi Chamharouch, famous for its white rock shrine visited by pilgrims.

Continue down to Imlil, where your driver will be waiting for the transfer back to Marrakech. Arrival in the city by late afternoon.
