Continuing east, the route crosses the flood plains and follows mule tracks ascending into the high rocky cliffs above the valley. Along the way, we cross the river and gradually climb toward the Toubkal Refuge (3,206 m ), following a steady path that snakes and zigzags up to the snowline.
